Who am I?

Let me tell you my story!

Hello!

Thanks for stopping by to read about my journey.

I am Henriette Einevoll Husby (born 01.11.1997). I was born outside Trondheim, in a little town, Malvik. I grew up with my mom, dad, and little sister. I have always dreamt about doing something “more” but I never felt I had found the right thing. I have always wanted to talk in a microphone. I taped a Q-tips on my cheeks even before I could walk, and I chased the places where I could express myself through a microphone. I recorded videos of self-made TV-shows in my livingroom, became a fitness instructor and started a podcast. Everything came so natural to me. When I founded my podcast Businesstalk with Henriette, I finally found what I was born to do. Even though, I might have known my path my whole life, I still chose an education within Real Estate and Leadership. I followed the norms of society, and I never really asked myself; what do I really want to do?

It was when deared to ask myself these questions and tried to dig deep in myself, I found the answers…

Today, I am the Founder of my own podcast- and coachingbusiness where I focus on promoting female role models in the entrepreneurial community and help other women realize that they can take more ownership over their life and in the world.

Read about my journey from 2016 until now below.

2016-2021

I got my education; a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate from BI Norwegian Business School and then a Master’s degree in Strategy, Organization, and Leadership from Copenhagen Business School.

In short I am a real estate agent with a civil economy education.

So what did I do with that?

November 2021

I landed my dream job as the Head of Sales in a danish property technology startup - ReData.

I was the only woman in the team and I managed my way through a male dominated industry. Simultaneously, I was seeking inspiration from other ambitious and driven businesswomen. I went out for a lot of coffee meetings with them.

January 2022

My podcast; Businesstalk with Henriette was born! On the 19th of January 2022 i published my first episode. I interviewed a Norwegian serial entrepreneur Carina Elise Godou, and I was in shock over how well the first episode performed. The rest is history.

The picture to the right is actual footage of me pubilishing my first episode, I’m sitting in an office in Copenhagen.

February 2022

I upgraded my equipment, and I travelled around chasing great guests to have on the show. I felt like the luckiest person in the world, being able to meet all these talented people.

I worked in my full-time job from early morning, and from 5 pm until bedtime I was a professional podcast host. I booked guests, prepared, recorded, and repeated. My energy became bubbly when I was working at night, and I was determined that I was going to MAKE IT!

March-April 2022

Over a thousand people had listened to my podcast, and I couldn’t stop now!

I was on a good track, and people wanted to interview me about my success. I guested my first podcast, “Selle Talks” by Marcus Selle & “Podpurri”. My local newspaper made a featured article about me and my mission to empower women.

May-June 2022

I participated at Norways biggest startup event; Startup Extreme in Hemsedal and was introduced to the Norwegian startup ecosystem.

I got into Google WeStart’s Incubator for female entrepreneurs.

August-September 2022

I’m landing my first sponsorship deal with Tripletex. I could finally earn money on my hard work, and I officially registered my company.

My podcast hits the charts and becomes the 2nd most listened entrepreneurship podcasts in Norway, beaten by the one and only Steven Bartlett with “The Diary of a CEO”.

October-November 2022

I hosted some events:

24.okt: Hosted a LIVE Podcast at Roccamore Shoes in Oslo

28.okt: Became jurymember at Tripletex’s entrepreneurship competition

18.nov: Panel Host at Google WeStart celebrating women entrepreneurship day

December 2022

I’m a very goaloriented person, but I always make sure to celebrate if I reach my goals. In January 2022 I said to myself; “If I can create a podcast with over 1.000 listeners, I will give myself a trip to New York.” Do you want to guess what I did?

I went to New York all by myself for 12 days. I had the best time of my life. I was able to interview amazing entrepreneurs and get to know the city even better.

My goal is to move to New York and work with my podcast from there!

January-February 2023

I quit my full-time job in ReData.

I became a full-time entrepreneur.

I got accepted by the international VC investor and incubator program Antler.

I became a coach for other businesswomen who wanted to reach their goals and change their mindset. I managed to get 6 paying clients in 2 weeks.

Businesshenriette turned 1 year the 19th of January 2023.

March-April 2023

I had a very hard time in this period because my life was evolving around Antler, which was more than a full-time program, and I still wanted to manage my company and the podcast. This became too overwhelming for me, I had no days off and my mind was constantly switching mindset from building a VC case in Antler, to being a podcast host. But, I gave it a fair chance. I pitched for the investment comittee in Antler, and got a “no” two times! I failed.

After the failure, that was when I got back to my core values, I learned from my mistake, and figured that running a podcast, a personal brand, and a coaching business was the thing I wanted to do. It gave me joy and happiness, and ownership. I am able do decide myself, and that gave me the freedom I wanted.

I hired my first Intern, and she helped me a lot on editing work.

Even though I had some setbacks, I achieved great things as well:

  1. I spoke at the BI Startup Roadshow to inspire the students into pursuing their dreams.

  2. I hosted a paneltalk about Branding and PR for startups, and hosted the main stage for Innovation Norway’s Demo Day at Startup Extreme.

  3. I got sponsored by ABG Sundal Collier Women in Finance Foundation

  4. I won the entrepreneurship talent-stipendium from SpareBank1

May-June 2023

This is the point where I’m reaching new hights with my business and podcast. I finally become the number 1 most listened podcasts within entrepreneurship in Norway and number 10 in the business category. I finally beat Steven Bartlett and “The Diary of a CEO”. WOW, I finally got that “Made it”-feeling.

Adresseavisen also wrote an amazing article about my journey so far and I’m getting the title “Queen in the kings town”. You can read it here.

I went to New York City to interview the best female entrepreneurs in the world. I had almost 30 interviews in a period of 1,5 months in NYC. What a crazy experience. I learned so much about myself and what matters in life as a Founder.

July-August 2023

September-Oktober 2023

I came home to Copenhagen from New York, and I had learned so much about myself from that journey. I’m ready for a new chapter that doesn’t involve moving to New York.

I went to Oslo and won “This Years Young Inspiration” by HER - Hun Etablerer Ressursprogrammet! This gave me a new motivational boost. Let’s GO!

To be continued…

My plans going forward…

I’m going to work for my goals every day.

I’m continuing to interview inspiring female entrepreneurs in Businesstalk with Henriette.

I’m going to speak more public and host more events.

I will sign at least 10 new coaching clients within 2023.
